2. In Adobe Illustrator CC, I had selected 8 fonts which I had seen as appropriate to
use for the masthead of my front cover, these fonts consist of:
Old English Text MT
Algerian
Baskerville Old Face
Book Antiqua
Castellar
Colonna MT
Goudy Old Style
Imprint MT Shadow

3. After asking and receiving feedback from my peers, the font for my masthead which I had decided to use for my front cover is Castellar as 60% of the 20 people I had asked for feedback from had chose this
font as “it is simple but still shows that it belongs to a Masquerade theme”.

4. As I wanted to add a gradient to my masthead, I had changed the image to an object
As I wanted to add a gradient to my masthead I had expanded the text so that it became an image.
To add the gradient I had clicked on the colour swatch whilst the text was selected and I had clicked the ‘orange, yellow’
gradient.

5. After I had clicked the gradient I had adjusted the colours and the way in which I wanted the gradient to appear until
the masthead had looked the way in which I wanted it to.
After I finished adjusting the gradient of my
masthead I had placed it on my front cover. To the
right is how the masthead looked when first
placed on the cover.
