Praise God, we have a home! We are in process of signing a lease at our current great
location. We have visibility, good accessibility to the next door bus station and to the
UMW campus just blocks away. Plus it is a warm and charming building that is more like
a home than an office.
PAST EVENTS AND CONNECTIONS
We have: A committed, passionate working board and volunteers who:
• Contacted over 30 churches and many are in process of partnering with us.
• Presented at events---Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace’s Awaken the Dawn, and their Teen
Conference, Area Pastor’s Luncheon, The Fredericksburg Health Center 5 K Run,
• Hosted 2 INFORMATIONAL DESSERTS:
The first at our office and next door Grace Memorial Church
with gratitude for Rev. Harlin White’s generosity and Rev. Pat Mahoney as guest speaker
The second event was at Horizons Church in Stafford and again
gratitude to Rev. Jay Hawpe and guest speaker Dan Donehey. They
both did a great job presenting the call to “rescue those being led to slaughter.” (abortion rate in
F’burg is one of the nation’s worst)
• Formed a STRIKE FORCE to pray and plan how to impact the UMW campus. We met with a,
Students for Life officer and also a Students for Life National representative.
• We had a prayer time on campus and appreciated having a UMW student with us and also Rev.
Joe Reed from First Christian Church
It was a sweet time in God’s presence as we prayed at the Student Health and Counseling Centers
and committed to be a voice for life on the campus.
FUTURE EVENTS:
• Informational table at UMW’s freshmen orientation August
24.
We have opportunity to interact with hundreds of students and
many community organizations.
Informational table and presentation at Mt Ararat Church, in
Stafford August 26. The center has been asked to present the
ministry to the women in attendance at the Women’s Ministry
Conference.
• OCTOBER BABY movie showing at New Life in Christ Oct
19__
This is a powerful pro-life tool. It is called, “terrific and
touching”. The LA Times states, “a film whose poignancy is
hard to deny whatever side of the abortion debate you fall on.”
• We plan on offering it to other churches, and UMW has plans to show it soon after school opens.
• WANTED HOST HOMES for inviting some of your neighbors/friends, to hear about the ministry.
Perhaps an excerpt from the film or even the entire film if that is your preference.

2. A FEW “THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO”
• A post-abortive young woman comes in pregnant and tearfully overwhelmed. She sees her unborn
baby and the heart beat, and chooses life and to chooses to attend parenting and post-abortion
healing classes
• Another post-abortive woman comes in and also wants healing and already has met with Kathy,
RN for Bible study
• A married woman has just found out about her new pregnancy and her husband’s unfaithfulness.
He accompanies her but the marriage is broken. They have not been able to find counseling that
they could afford. They are un-churched, but both are presented with the gospel and steps for
reconciliation and a referral for Spotswood Baptist’s Biblical Counseling program.
IN CLOSING
In the study book, “Experiencing God” we are encouraged to “see where God is moving and to
join Him”. God is moving in the current Bethany Pregnancy
Center. As more of God’s people rise up, the new ministry of
FREDERICKSBURG PREGNANCY CENTER will be
expanded to provide so much more help with saving babies
created in His image, healing hurting women and families, and
presenting the sweet gospel of Jesus Christ.
