- Set up a clear basin with water and your ‘Fred’. The Children can make up their own name for him also!
- Maybe use the local river as an example
- I used a kitchen sponge, cut out two triangles as his tail and stuck on googly eyes
- Drop Soil into the Water
- Use golden syrup as oil, get a child to squeeze some in.
- Drop salt into the water
- Throw plastic wrappers or other ‘picnic’ rubbish into the bowl
- Nothing to add here!
- Add washing up liquid
- Drop in some Green Crepe paper shredded to look like weeds
- Add red or yellow food colouring
