Frank Carr is a Partner at Amrop Battalia Winston in their New York office. He has extensive experience recruiting for the investment management industry, particularly hedge funds. Prior to joining Amrop Battalia Winston, Frank founded his own executive search firm and was a Managing Director at other search firms. He has placed senior executives at hedge funds, asset managers, and insurance companies. Frank began his career in commercial banking and also worked as the CFO of a hedge fund. He holds FINRA licenses and graduated from Williams College.

Previously Frank was the Managing Partner and Founder of Centennial Advisory Group LLC and a specialist in recruiting for the investment management industry with particular expertise in the hedge fund industry. Prior to forming Centennial, Frank was a Managing Director of Diversified Search, and head of the firm’s New York-based hedge fund practice and he before that he was a Managing Director in the Global Asset Management practice at A.T. Kearney Executive Search. Frank has placed senior executives in the areas of 1) Portfolio Management; 2) Asset Gathering and Retention; and 3) Investment Operations and Administration. His clients range from hedge fund managers and fund of funds organizations to institutional money managers and insurance companies. Frank has authored several articles for investment industry publications such as, The MFA Reporter, FINalternatives.com and Reuters HedgeWorld and he has been a speaker at numerous investment industry conferences and events. Frank began his career in commercial bank lending, initially with Citibank in their Wall Street Commodities division and he has previously held FINRA licenses Series 3, 6 and 63. He had also been the Chief Financial Officer of a Connecticut-based long-short equity hedge fund and Commodity Trading Advisor. Frank is a graduate of Williams College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy. Frank is a former national class marathon runner and an avid bass guitarist. He and his wife reside in Riverside, Connecticut.
