This document provides examples of fractions using different groups of objects. It shows that a fraction can represent the number of objects in one group out of the total number of objects when the group is partitioned evenly, such as 2 out of 5 balloons with writing or 6 out of 9 shapes being yellow. However, it notes that an uneven partitioning cannot represent a fraction.
