• Background
• In October 2014 Mac Millar asked Rotary Shanghai
President Frank Yih if he could send footballs to North

• Past President Randal Eastman of the same club told
him yes – and this project was born to send 200
footballs and uniforms to orphanages and schools for
orphans in DPRK.
• 10 years earlier two boys from the DPRK (one who
loved soccer) were brought to Shanghai for life saving
heart surgery in the Shanghai Chest Hospital.
• From 2012-14 ShelterBox has distributed shelter aid
to families who lost homes from flooding and
typhoons in the DPRK 2
