Coping At breakfast, lunch or dinner read ,draw, etc.  Play out side  Stay positive Take your medicine Smile If you can’t eat, don’t eat Ignore people who make fun of you
What to say:Feeding tube (NG) Person: “What’s that in your nose?” You: “A feeding tube.” Person: “What’s that?” “Why?” You: “Well, I can’t eat so I get liquid food through this. It’s a tube that goes down my throat, and to my tummy.  Person: “Cool”
What to say:Feeding tube (NG) You: “Some people have glasses because they can’t see well, some have wheel chairs because they can’t walk,  and I have a tube because I can’t eat.” Person: (thinking) Person: “That’s sad.”
What to say when: People ask“Are you better?!” GP never will go away, sadly. So say or write “I’m okay. But I still having tummy troubles. I am feeling ************ right now.” *    Means what you are feeling, it will always be different
