Flaherty Capital was established by one of the cofounders of Cybus Capital Markets,
which was sold to First National Investment Banking in May 2007. Cybus was a national
investment banking firm providing corporate finance services to the food & beverage and
agribusiness sectors. Cybus was the successor to MONY Capital Markets, the investment
banking subsidiary of Mutual New York Life Insurance as the result of a management buyout
in 1995. During more than 25 years in business, Cybus worked with hundreds of clients;
exceeding $3 billion in completed transactions.
