This document summarizes the characteristics of the olive cultivar 'IRTA ARBOSANA i-43'. It originated from surveys of the 'Arbosana' cultivar in Catalonia, Spain. It has very low vigor and a compact, open canopy. The tree is early bearing with very high and regular productivity. The small fruit ripens late and produces an intense green olive oil with high levels of bitterness, spiciness, and astringency. It is well-suited for hedgerow growing systems due to its low vigor.
