Located close to the coast of Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia, Pulau Ketam or Crab
Island is in the seashore, and the most common plant is the mangrove. On Crab
Island, you can find many Chinese traditions and wooden homes. Fishing is very
much part of the villager's routine on Crab Island.
Walk and tour around the village, and you can see a school, fish market, Chinese
Temple, fisherman boats, and Traditional and modern houses as well. Have a
splendid seafood lunch accompanied by Chinese Tea.
Moving on to the biggest mosque in Malaysia, which is the Blue Mosque (Sultan
Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah). There was special rosette Quranic Verses that are
specially designed on the traditional dome. The size of the dome is 170 feet in
diameter and soars up to 350 feet above the ground. Four minarets were built to
match the dome, with a height of 460 feet it is considered the tallest minarets
in the world.
The last destination would be the Thean Hou Temple, built in 1989 and located on
a hillock; this impressive has golden-roofed pagodas and strings of lanterns.
Inside this temple, there are 3 majestic deities, including the main deity Thean
Hou. The temple also has the status of 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Some
shops sell a variety of souvenirs in the basement area.
The last stop would be the Fireflies Tour in Kampung Pasir Penambang. Famous for
its large fireflies colonies the visitors can enjoy a delightful boat ride in the
Selangor River. In Malaysia, Firefly can only be found in Kampung Kuantan,
Selangor. They are in 6 cm length. The male flash brighter than the female
because of the need to attract the female fireflies during mating season.

Batu Caves is a Hindu Temple located in a suburban area of Kuala Lumpur. These limestone caves
are around 400 million years old. The total numbers of steps are 272 leading up to the main
caves temple. Batu Caves consists of three big caves. The world’s tallest Lord Muruga Statue
with a height of 42.7 m (130 feet high) is located here. This destination attracts a massive
crowd during Thaipusam, which is an annual festival for the Indians to pay homage to Lord
Muruga.
Selayang Hot Spring or locally known as "Kolam Air Panas" is a trendy place among the locals. It
was believed that it helps with the healing process because of the mineral content of the hot
spring, i.e., Sulphur. Visitors with illnesses like skin problems, diabetes and gout, and many
more have been cured by this hot spring.
Templer Park, a forest reserve in Rawang, Gombak District, Selangor with a size of 1,214
hectares was named in honor of Sir Gerald Templer, a British High Commissioner in Malaya. The
park is located about 22km from Kuala Lumpur and is one of the oldest rainforests estimated at
around 130 million years. Consist of 7 levels of waterfalls, jungle streams, trails, and low and
DipteroCarp Rain Forest. The park is suitable for a picnic and equipped with basic facilities

Sonneratia Caseolaris is a species of plant in the family
Lythraceae. It grows along the bank of the Selangor River because it

Famously known as Silvery Lutung or Silvery Langur is an Old World Monkey
(Cercopithecidae). Can be found in mangrove, coastal and riverine forests in
Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, and Sumatra. A medium-sized monkey with a long non-
prehensile tail, it has grey-tipped black or dark brown fur. The males' lutung is
slightly bigger than the females.
Batu Caves
Batu Caves is a Hindu Temple located in a suburban area in Kuala Lumpur. These
limestone caves are around 400 million years old. The total numbers of steps are 272
leading up to the main caves temple. Batu Caves consists of three big caves. The
world’s tallest Lord Muruga Statue with a height of 42.7 m (130 feet high) is
located here. This destination attracts a massive crowd during Thaipusam, which is
an annual festival for the Indians to pay homage to Lord Muruga.
Selayang Hot Spring
Selayang Hot Spring or locally known as "Kolam Air Panas" is a trendy place among
the locals. It was believed that it helps with the healing process because of the
mineral content of the hot spring, i.e., Sulphur. Visitors with illnesses like skin
problems, diabetes and gout, and many more have been cured by this hot spring.
Fireflies (KELIP-KELIP)
A type of insect in the beetle order Coleoptera. This insect can be found in Kampung
Kuantan, Kuala Selangor. They use their bioluminescence (emission of light by a
living organism) during twilight to attract their prey or mate. They flash their
light at a specified interval of 3 seconds and in a perfect rhythm. The male flash
brighter as it tries to attract the females.
