The document describes an interoperable spatial information system called the Interoperable Fire Management Planning (IFMP) knowledge base that provides current fire risk data and information to support the development of integrated regional and local fire management plans. The IFMP knowledge base allows users to view spatial data on risks like bushfires and vegetation fires, assets from past bushfire incidents, and allows filtering and querying of data from internal and external databases on attributes and locations of high priority risks, towns at high risk of fire, and landslides. Phases 1 and 2 of the project are complete and publicly available, with Phases 3-5 to be implemented by June 2014.
