Abstinence? or Safe Sex
   for Teenagers?
Some light hearted images about teenage sexuality
There are ways to remain abstinent, without frustration. Being abstinent does not
mean that one has to stay completely away from anything to do with sex.
If your partner is knowingly or unknowingly infected, unsafe
sex can be devastating to your health
Abstinence-only educators think that if we give kids contraception, they will use them
improperly, and ineffectively. They think that the outcome of giving teens contraceptives will be
harmful. This is expressed in the metaphors of this cartoon. It compares the contraceptives to
                                           loaded guns.
How are teens supposed to remain
abstinent with magazines like these rolling
          around in the media?
57% of people always use condoms during
              intercourse.
36% of people use them most of the time.
7% of people never use condoms.
Victoria’s Secret, one of the most popular teenage clothing and
underwear stores, plasters half naked teens all over the internet,
the runway, and their stores. This is what teens see after leaving
their abstinence only classes for the day.
Even Vogue is sexualizing their models
          way too young.
