FGFR-2は、細胞外ドメインの選択的スプライシングにより、IIIbとIIIcのアイソフォーム
がつくられます。IIbアイソフォームが主に上皮細胞に、IIIcが非上皮細胞に発現するこ
とからEMTに関与すると考えられています。

膵臓癌では、FGFR-2 IIIcの発現が癌の増殖や転移、癌幹細胞の機能に影響を与えてお
り、新たな治療標的となる可能性があることを、最近、報告しました。
