GERMANY
On Sunday morning if you asked Lewis what his
dream would be for the day ahead I'm sure it
wasn't to come from 14th on the grid to win and
your championship rival to put it into the wall. Well
that's how it played out...
In FF1 with only one joker played it was no surprise
that my lovely wife Lindsay took the wine with her
team Bee's Knees scoring just 536 points to take
the win, well played Linz..
In second it's Michael Hickton and his Mikey Brown
Eyes on 438 points followed by Pete Lane's Aero
team on 433 points in third.
Just behind Pete there is a tie for fourth between
Lewis Whiting's Whiting's Flyers and Ollie Smith's
Here Comes The Boys, both teams score 428
points.
HUNGARY
Ferrari seemed to be miles ahead on this track but
after a wet qualifing Lewis dominated and cruised
to victory..
In FF1 it was the first win for Mathew Baldwin with
his team My heart will Grosjean with a joker
powered 868 points, if there was an award for best
team name this would be the winner.
In second it's my SNAFU Racing with a score of 702
points with in my shadow (as he is in real life) Oscar
Brown and his Os Cars on 678 points in third.
In fourth it's Richard Clark's Almost McLaren on
584 points followed by David Brudenell and Shaun
Holmes who finished joint fifth with Harry Hill
Racing and The Satelite Kid both scoring 476 points
and were the highest placed team not to have
played a joker...
LEAGUE
As we go into the summer break my team The
Roaring Forties have returned back to the top of
the league with a score of 4675 points only 12
points ahead of Lewis Whiting's Whiting's Flyers
who are on 4663 points in second.
Still clinging onto a top three place it's Richard
Morton with Rubber Racing 2 on 4555 points
followed by British GP winner Philip Wilson and his
Willys Prix XVII in fourth on 4522 points.
Moving into the top five it's FF1 regular Nick
Carthew and his Proppa Job 1 team on a score
4448 points and the only one in the top five with a
joker to play. Could this be Nick's year?
Down at the bottom Callum Lee's Crazy Cal's Racers
have finally got into gear and moved off the
bottom and now have been replaced by wooden
spoon collectors Dave Barson's Cheap as Chips
Rides again who are on 2541 points.
Looking at the league it is still all to play for, a joker
could win the title or lose it for you at both ends of
the table.
All could change in the second half of the season
and probably will.....
