Does your shirt have the gap between buttons?
If it does NOT, then use this button as the guide
Use a ruler (or edge of paper) to establish a
horizontal line along the to edge the button
Suggestion: I used straight pins to place alone
the edge of the ruler to establish the line. This
allowed me to get rid of the ruler.
Place the nameplate and ribbons where the
bottom touches the pins. Once they are in place
remove the pins.
The space between the center of the button and the edge of the nameplate
should be the same as the space between the center of the button and the edge
Of the ribbons.
The star is placed ¼” above the nameplate and
centered.
The unit crest is placed 1/8” above the star.
Use a straight edge (ruler or paper) to ensure
the center of the crest, star, and nameplate are
lined up.
If “Tabs” are worn they are centered below the
nameplate. How far below is determined by the
cadets build.
If more than one Tab is worn they will be place
1/8” apart.
If marksmanship badge is worn it is place 1/8”
below the ribbons and centered.
