• Implementation of the Domestic Gas Supply
Obligation (DGSO) scheme, supplying adequate
quantity and quality of oil and gas producers to all
active power plants in the last one year.
• One Bscf/day supply of gas to the domestic
market achieved through effective
implementation of DGSO.
• Commissioning of the Usan Floating Production
and Storage System (FPSO), currently producing
103,000 barrels per day (4% of Nigeria’s daily
production of 2.7 million p/d).

4. Domestic Development-2
• Oil terminalling facility (Ebok Terminal) established by
an indigenous company, with a current daily crude oil
production of 7,000 barrel p/ day and a Plateau
production of 50,000 bpd at full capacity.
• Mobilisation for new free trade zone in Ogidigben,
Delta State, with a world class gas hub, petrochemical
and fertilizer plants to be built, creating over 5 million
jobs across the value chain.
• Stable supply of petroleum products as well as efficient
administration of the subsidy programme at reduced
costs.

• Compressed Natural (CNG) to power cars: 2000
cars already Gas converted in Benin test-run
• Domestic gas supply to support the power sector
increased by 72% as part of emergency gas
supply programme
• Total crude oil production now at 2.5 million bpd
• Nigerian Petroleum Development Corporation
(NPDC) exploration and production: 130,000
barrels per day

• 136km uncompleted gas pipeline from Oben to
Geregu power plant: Completed
• The 31km uncompleted gas pipeline from Itoki
to Olorunsogo power plant: Completed
• Acquired 250 square kilometers of 3D-seismic
data for the Chad basin. Integrated studies
carried out in the Basin provided information
on oil and gas prolific areas.

• Setting up of a number of Special Task Forces to
address critical issues in the sector i.e. The
Special PIB Task Force and the PIB Technical
Committee; The Special Task Force on
Governance and Controls in the NNPC and other
Parastatals.
• Establishment of Petroleum Revenue Special Task
Force.
• Establishment of National Refineries Special Task
Force.

• Wiped out embarrassing fuel queues and pushing on
with policies to make Nigeria a product-exporting
country.
• Reform is in top gear to make Nigeria a net exporter of
petroleum products through privatisation of
government owned refineries, deregulation of the
downstream sector and establishment of more refineries
across the country
• Improved production at local refineries
• Fuel subsidy regime has been cleaned up
• Fuel importation to supplement local production has
been flawlessly administered.

10. Gas Flaring: Before & After
Gas flaring reduced between 2011 and 2012 from 24% to 18% - due to the encouragement of accelerated gas
development projects.

11. Community-2
• Diligent implementation of amnesty programme
in the Niger Delta helped increase oil production
from pre-amnesty level of 700,000 bpd to the
current 2,500,000 bpd.
• Nigerian-owned crude oil transportation tankers.
• Nigerian-owned marine vessels have increased
from 54 to 388
• These create employment for over 30,000
Nigerians
