                                        Communiqué de presse

                                               Audincourt/Nanterre (France), March 17, 2011

NewTech: a new production process for Faurecia Automotive Exteriors
Faurecia Automotive Exteriors, European market leader for automotive plastic body parts,
has today in Audincourt (France) inaugurated “NewTech”, its new industrial production
process. Flexible and modular, easily duplicable, more economical and environmentally
friendly, this new process enables Faurecia to pass a new step in industrial excellence and
respond to a strong growth market characterized by high expectations in terms of perceived
quality and lightweighting.

NewTech encompasses all manufacturing steps, from plastic injection to the assembly of
finished products, ready to be delivered to automakers.

This new process ensures:

 flexibility and modularity of the industrial tool, which becomes fully adaptable to
    automakers’ technical specifications, to their production volumes as well as to the
    diversity of their products (vehicle versions, colors…);

 easy duplication, all the NewTech elements are pre-validated in the Audincourt R&D
    center before being deployed at the production site, reducing by half total set-up time
    versus traditional systems;

   substantial savings:
        o investment reduced by 25 to 30% versus traditional systems (at similar
            production levels);
        o phased investment depending on real customer needs;

   a better environmental performance:
         o power consumption reduced by 25%;
         o polluting emissions reduced by 95%;
         o reduced paint consumption, thanks to high performance adhesion means;
         o better ergonomics and an improved working environment.

The model NewTech application in Audincourt has required a Faurecia-only investment of
over five million euros, of which 25% for environmental aspects.

With its many strengths, NewTech will become the new standard for the Group's production
of painted plastic exterior parts. Following this first application on the Audincourt site,
several NewTech projects are currently being discussed with car manufacturers in South
America, North America and China.

The Audincourt site is host to the R&D center for all product lines of Faurecia Automotive
Exteriors, the development center for new industrial processes, the headquarters of the
South Europe Division as well as several production units. It currently employs 870 people, of
which 570 for manufacturing, 220 for R&D-Innovation and 80 at the headquarters of the
South Europe Division.
