2. I am a 15 year old singer/
songwriter and cover
artist from Ilkley. I play
mostly acoustic covers of
pop songs with a mix of
old classics thrown in too.
My main influences are
artists like Norah Jones,
Lianne La Havis and Amy
Winehouse.

As well as being a singer, I am also a
guitarist and a pianist. When playing at
events I use either my instruments or
backing tracks to accompany my voice
depending on the type and vibe of the
gig. In the past I have sang at wedding
receptions, restaurants and various open
mic nights across Yorkshire.

7. Dazarockz was established when the
designer Darecca Stainforth graduated
from Leeds College of art with a degree in
Fashion and clothing. Over the last few
years the brand has showcased at local
fashion shows including the annual Leeds
fashion Show as well as other local charity
shows and events. Since its launch the
brand has gained a large following of loyal
custom and has built up a large portfolio of
collaborations with local photographers and
artists. Dazarockz aims to give designer
fashion at affordable prices.

8. I have had a passion for fashion since I was little and
used to make my dolls clothes though I worked in the
industry in my teens and early adult life I had to give
it up when my children were born as they had
medical issues, I still love designing and making
clothes for myself and daughter whenever I can.
Some designs I made for myself and some I just like
to make cause I love the fabrics. Though they are not
cohesive as a collection I have loved using the fabrics
and notions to create these designs.

9. I enjoy being creative, my aim is to create sustainable
eco-friendly fashion. I want to create on trend
collections whilst beating the fast fashion lifestyle. I
want to prove that eco friendly fashion can be on trend
and not the stereotypical result of a 'hippy' lifestyle.
I am inspired by wanting to create a better planet. I want
to do good for our environment and create less waste
through creating designs from upcycled, plant based
garments and by doing this turn our linear economy
into a circular one.

10. One of my first ever memories is saying “No” to a pair of red
socks as they “Simply wouldn’t go” with my green jumper. I
kept the same fashion enthusiasm to this day, but it has now
evolved, as I do not want to keep this only to myself. I am now
keen to share my ideas with other fashion enthusiasts, to
inspire and be inspired by them. The designs shown are
representations of some the 2017 trends and unique takes on a
few of this year’s ‘hero’ pieces such as the bell sleeve, the off
shoulder and gingham weave. These designs are created for
the contemporary fashionista. They are versatile and
sophisticated to suit the complex needs of a busy woman. The
shape is body flattering to empower women and to make you
feel great in your own skin, in clothing that she feels not only
represent her, but they also keep up with the current trends.

12. I have taken inspiration from the wrap
silhouette of the uniform of
Tae-kwon-do. I have also incorporated
the martial arts belt into the garments.
Taking the theme of Greek Mythology, I
chose to focus on Pegasus. My main area
of inspiration was the delicate nature of
each feather forming the wings of the
white winged stallion. The concept of
fragile elements holding together to
create an indestructible form was quite
inspiring. Intricate details of the wings
of Pegasus have been translated through
surface pattern; laser cutting, devore,
digital print. Draped silhouettes have
been derived from the caryatid on the
Acropolis at Athens. The metallic colour
palette reflects the theme of mystery
and myth.

17. My inspiration is powerful women from the
middle east, completely covered, I want to
illustrate the beauty and purity underneath the
all black. I moved back to Yorkshire one year
ago and have set up a studio outside of leeds, it
means everything to me to get my designs seen
and get interest from the public.

19. Fashion design has been my main passion for the
past few of years now. My inspirations are rooted
in science and biology, specifically the evolution
of technology with human cultures. I've been
inspired firstly by the the book "silence of the
lambs" and then I took the idea forward and
looked at human robots and evolution of other
species. Human Evolution Collection, is based on
the prediction of the human evolution, instead of
showing the end result of our evolution I am
showing the progress and one of the stages of
what I believe human evolution will look like.

21. The collection I am showing is a variety of
women's and men’s clothes which are casual
designs made funky. I don't have a brand name
for my clothing as of yet but hopefully I will
have one when it comes to the day or before. My
inspiration behind my designs are music, life
and especially my mother who is a sewer as
well. The reason why I want to get into the
fashion/design industry is because I love
designing and making my own clothes. It's a
passion of mine. I think I can bring something
different to the industry if I ever became
successful.

22. The Rhiannon Lewis Collection stems from the idea of "Glamorising
sportswear". Rhainnon’s innovative designs incorpore denim and
duchess satin materials, which showcase her inspiration from
previous research projects and various designers, highlighting the
strong theme of Feminism throughout her work.
The concept of Rhiannon’s designs show us various elements of the
female form in order to question the feminine ideal constantly
changing in society. The aim is to produce designs that will create a
new feminine ideal. Through using baggy, oversized materials, seen
to be masculine lounge wear, and repurposing them in a luxury
style Rhiannon has combined masculinity and femininity together
to create a more versatile concept of women’s style in the fashion
industry.

23. Inspirations are taken from the
world around me. Animal,
vegetable and mineral all have a
place in my designs. Designing a
hat or headpiece is something that
will evolve as I find out what the
materials are capable of, meaning
each piece is unique because I have
so many ideas and designs waiting
to be created. I want to share them
with everyone. The creative mind is
endless.
