PARTICIPANT FAQ’s


Q1. What is TRIADS -2012 contest?
A. TRIADS is designed and operated by NHRD Bangalore over 7 years, evaluating contribution to the
academic HR projects of final year MBA students in Karnataka through an annual contest that
recognizes the best participants from students, academic institutions and company guides in projects.


Q2. Is there an entry fee for the contest?
A. This CONTEST IS ABSOLUTELY FREE AND IS OPEN FOR ALL HUMAN RESOURCE students across the
state.

Q3. How do I apply for the contest?
A. You need to apply through your institution / organisation.
B. In case of students, your college administrator must confirm your participation by writing to
    reachus@nhrdbangalore.com or learning@nhrdbangalore.com.

Q4. How will I know whether my project entry has reached the contest?
A. You will receive an acknowledgement from the anchors.

Q5. Is there a maximum number of entries from an institution / college?
A. Each college has a maximum of three (3) student project entries (It could be all 3 in one single
    project or in different projects).

Q6. Are there a maximum number of projects per organisation?
A. No. An organisation can have as many unique projects as it can.

Q7. Can a student work on 02 projects at a time?
A. No. The contest is for 01 project per student.
Q8. Do I need to go through NHRD Bangalore for projects?
A. Not necessary. You can choose your own project too. However, the project will be evaluated based
   on the team effort of the student, faculty guide and the corporate project guide.
B. In case you need support, NHRD Bangalore will facilitate.


Q9. What is the time line for the project/s?
A. Generally, the project timelines are in harmony with the academic timelines i.e. 6 to 8
weeks and from May to August 2012. However, all project reports must reach us on or before
October 15th 2012.

Q10. I am a student from a state other than Karnataka. Can I participate?
 A. No. The contest is open to students studying in Karnataka only. However the Project Study done at
      any Corporate outside Karnataka is acceptable.

Q11. I have a project outside India. Am I eligible to participate?
 A. Yes. You are welcome to the contest so long as you complete the same within the timelines of the
      contest.

Q12. How is the TRIADS evaluation done and in how many levels?
A. A team of industry and academic experts does evaluation with criteria defined by the NHRD
   Bangalore expert Committee.

B. There are three evaluation rounds (two online and 1 face to face).
                i. The first 02 rounds of evaluation will be online and results shared with all
                   participants.
               ii. The 06 finalist projects will contest for the Top 3 awards.

Q13. What is the final evaluation process?
A. The final evaluation is face to face. A maximum of 6 teams would be short listed for the final
   presentation in a monthly meeting of HRD Network Bangalore Chapter. The Secretary of HRD
   Network Bangalore Chapter would declare the results of the Pre-Final round.
    Any disputes arising out of the same shall be presented to the President HRD Network Bangalore
    Chapter within 24 hours of the declaration of results and his decision would be final and binding.
                i.    The student from each project team will make a 10-minute presentation
                      (maximum 4 slides) to the jury and answer jury and audience queries.
               ii.    In case of projects with more than 1 students, only one of them will make the
                      final     presentation      as       well      answer      panel       questions.
                      However, incase the team wins, the cash award will be shared with the team
                      and all members will be recognised with certificates.

Q14. How many awards will be given and Where?
 A. The contest award ceremony will be held during the finals in November at Bangalore
 B. The Top 3 winning teams will be awarded.
               i. The Trophy is awarded to the First prize winner – Student, Academic Guide and
                  Project Guide. The top 3 student winners will get Cash reward. All finalists will get a
                  certificate and a memento.


Q15. How will I be intimated if my project is selected for finals?
 A. You / your institution will be communicated through the email ids. We will also up load the name
    of the finalists in the NHRD Bangalore chapter website.

Q16. Will I receive help to write my project report?
 A. Yes. In case you need help, please write to learning@nhrdbangalore.com and a mentor will guide
    you.

Q17. Is there a set format to write project report? What if I have problem uploading my file?
 A. Please write your project report in Calibri Font or Verdana in Size 12 with
    1.5 line spacing. The total number of words shall not exceed 2000 words. The font size for
    headings should be 16 point, sub-headings 14 point and text should be 12 point. Margins must be
    1.5 inch on left side and 1 inch on all other sides.
