The opera was inspired by plays written by Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais, and Marriage of Figaro includes many scenes that criticize the nobility. Another famous opera is La bohème, which was created by Puccini. La bohème is a love story that ends in tragedy and death like other famous books and stories such as Romeo and Juliet. The opera has delicious melodies that transmit to the audience the feeling of being young, alive, and in love. Puccini plays with the feelings of the audience and puts them through many plot twists with Rodolfo breaking everyone’s heart in the end when he realizes that Mimì is gone.
