The student conducted an online survey of 26 NHS audiologists aged 22-51 to understand their perspectives on how medicalized different aspects of audiology departments are, whether medicalization is desirable, and how medicalized their own departments are. The survey addressed topics like anatomical charts, disease information, treatment approaches, and hearing aid technology.
Results showed varied views among audiologists on what is considered medicalized and the desirability of medicalization. While some components like sanitation stations and disease information were
