4. Facebook:
Facebook is an American corporation and an online social media and social
networking service. Facebook may be accessed by a large range of devices
with Internet connectivity, such as desktop, laptop and tablet computers,
and smartphones ETC. After registering to use the site, users can create a profile
indicating their name, occupation, schools attended and so on. Users can add
other users as friends exchange messages, post status updates, share photos,
videos and links, use various software applications and receive notifications of
activity.

5. History of Facebook:
Facebook is a social networking service launched on February 4, 2004. It was
founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommate and fellow Harvard
University students. Mark Zuckerberg is also the CEO of facebook. FaceMash,
Facebook’s predecessor, opened in 2003. Developed by Mark Zuckerberg, he
wrote the software for the Facemash website when he was in his second year of
college. The website was set up as a type of hot or not game for Harvard
students. In January 2004, Zuckerberg began writing code for a new website,
known as The Facebook, with the inspiration coming from an editorial in
the Crimson about Facemash. Zuckerberg launched The Facebook, originally
located at the facebook.com.

Positive Effects
Keeping in touch with family and friends- Facebook is a great way to keep in
touch with your family and friends that live far away. With instant messaging and
even video chat, Facebook is the perfect environment to stay connected. With
the status updates, photos, and profile information, it can keep you up to date
on the happenings of all of your close ones. Making new friends- Facebook
makes meeting new people extremely easy due to the fact that it allows you to
add up to thousands of friends. If you comment on a friends status, and one of
their friends comments on it.

7. Using Facebook negative effects :
Negative Effects
The negative educational impacts of regularly checking Facebook during Reading
time 15-minute observation of kids during study time revealed the following.
Middle and high school students, as well as college students, who checked their
Facebook once during the 15-minute study time had lower test grades. Those
students who checked their Facebook most often also had the lowest rates of
reading retention. This probably is not too surprising, but now it is a proven fact,
in case you need to tell your kids.
