1. Extent the Validity Period For Wash and Reagent Cartridge
This is for Rapidlab 1200 modalities
This is been tried and worked before in many systems
This is done successfully with no side effects by (Eng. Mahmoud Saber) in King Fahd Medical City – Riyadh
1-from diagnostic page eject both wash and reagent cartridges ( or you can leave one cartridge in the machine if you
don’t want to extent its validity period and proceed this procedures for one cartridge only )

2-close the door and let the cartridge outside

3-get out to diagnostic page and wait 40 sec until [R0%] and [W0%] appears at the top of screens

2. 5-go back to status page
6-go to Setup page system options date and time
7-change the date back ( 10 – 15 )days
As in fig.(8) (7) (8)
8-get back to status page
9-press replace to the Reagent cartridge
10-Install the Reagent cartridges to the machine (9)
11- the machine will state invalid Reagent Cartridges as in fig. (10) in events log , so repeat steps (A-D) as following

A- from Diagnostic page Cartridges eject the (11)
Reagent Cartridges (as in fig.11)
B- close the door
C -get out to Diagnostic page
D- wait 40 sec until [R0%] appears at the top of screens
E- install Reagent Cartridges again from (12)
Diagnostic page Cartridges
F- go back to Diagnostic page and
wait there 40 sec until [R 0%] disappear then return back to
status page as in fig. (13)
12-the machine will accept the reagent cartridge . (13)
13-now (if you proceed this procedures for the both cartridges Wash and Reagents )then the machine will ask you
to replace the Wash cartridge and will make mark at is Button.

3. 14-press replace as in fig.(14) and install the Wash Cartridge when the machines opens its door

15-then machine will say as it did before with the Reagent Cartridges ( invalid Wash Cartridges ) as in fig.(15)
16- go to Diagnostic Page Cartridges eject Wash cartridge.
17- close the door and go back to to Diagnostic Page
18-wait a minute there (16)
19- go to Diagnostic Page Cartridges eject Wash cartridge
and insert the Wash cartridge and close the door as in fig. (17) (17)
20- return to Diagnostic Page and wait a 40 sec
until [W 0%] disappear as in fig. (18) then return back to
status page.
21-then machine will enter in the initialization for 5 mins as in
in fig. (19) (18)
22-after an hour from that ( do full cal first ) readjust the (
date back to the current date.
23- like this you extend the expires date 10- 15 days until the
reagent finished or reach to 5-10%
