Mckenzie Patrick conducted an experiment to determine the effect of balloon circumference on the mass of a boat. The experiment tested balloons with circumferences of 0 cm, 20 cm, and 35 cm attached to boats with a mass of 34.9 g. Data was collected over 10 trials for each balloon circumference, recording the mass the boat could hold without sinking. The results show that as the balloon circumference increased, the average mass the boat could hold without sinking increased, from 408.5 g for 0 cm, to 62.5 g for 20 cm, to 9.5 g for 35 cm.
