Radar images from the Fort Polk Doppler radar site show the storm's precipitation and winds. The composite reflectivity image shows a wider area of precipitation than the base reflectivity image because it combines data from multiple elevation angles. The dominant wind direction coming toward the Fort Polk radar site, as shown by the base velocity image, was from the southeast.
