Courter Resource Group offers science
enrichment programs designed by
teachers to build upon students’ natural
fascination with rocks. Each hands-on
exploration follows National Science
Education Standards and supports earth
science lessons taught in the classroom.
Trained instructors provide the rock and
mineral specimens, activities, and all the
supplies to get classrooms rockin’!
Susan Courter, a professional geologist and
educator, has brought earth science experiences
to schools and communities for more than 15
years, including her work as co-founder of:
QUARRY QUEST– an exciting family outing
and fundraiser held in a limestone quarry each
year. Since 1999, the event has attracted over
50,000 people and raised more than $500,000
for Northeast Wisconsin schools, museums,
and charitable organizations.
EARTH:THE GREAT STORYTELLER –
an Earth Day Celebration for Lomira public
schools.The day-long, outdoor event helped
800 K-8 students gain a better understanding
of local history and their ecological footprint
here on earth.
