I have had the pleasure of having Melissa Eubanks employed at the Washington, DC office of
Bain & Company, where I am the managing partner/office head.
While Melissa has been at Bain for a long time, she did a short-term transfer to DC to help us
with the start-up efforts at our office. Her contributions were enormous and will be felt for a
long time. Melissa is a professional, confident, and motivated employee. She is willing to jump
in and help with any task, any time. The DC office was initially built though 100 percent
internal transfers from our global footprint. Being in the executive assistant role, Melissa was a
constant in the office and did a great deal to get people oriented in their first several weeks
post-transfer—and this was not part of her formal responsibility—which demonstrates self-
motivation and a team orientation.
Melissa has a very positive attitude and uses it to keep things moving. Starting a new office can
be a hectic environment; in the middle of the chaos, Melissa always showed grace under
pressure.
