DAY 01: Addis/ADD
Be welcomed by your guide on arrival at Addis Ababa city tour of Addis
Ababa. Of In Addis has time to make walks on the main streets to visit
historical Monuments, and for shopping. In the evening, we will host you at
one of the best traditional restaurants of Addis where you can see the
folkloric dances of The Ethiopian people and taste our variety of meal.
Also, visit The National Museum This famous museum, close to the
University of Addis Ababa Graduate School, houses numerous antiquarian
relics and archaeological artifacts showing the history of Ethiopia from
prehistoric times to the modern day. Its most famous exhibit is the 3.5
million year old skeleton of Lucy. Mount Entoto Addis Ababa is built in the
foothills of Mount Entoto, and the panorama from the peak (3,200m3,
either by day or night, is a breathtaking spectacle. The Church of St Mary
(1885) overlooks the entire city and the surrounding area. The Entoto
Museum, with its historical exhibits is well worth a visit. Trinity Cathedral
Trinity Cathedral was constructed by Emperor Haileselassie in 1947 and
dedicated to the Holy Trinity. The architecture of the cathedral is very
unique to both Ethiopia and Africa. It is ornamented with carvings and
mosaic and other artistic works such as paintings of saints and the apostles
on the stained glass. Within the compound and gardens of the church are
found the crypts of the Imperial family O/n in Addis Ababa.

2. DAY 02: Addis/ADD – Tiya–Adadi Mariam– Langano

village). Drive 300 km south to Arba Minch visiting
the tribal people of Alaba who are noted for their
beautifully painted houses, Wolita, known for their
cultivation of Enset or False Banana, and Dorze – who
are renowned for their huge huts and colorful cotton
clothes, en route to Dorze village, and then a visit to
the traditional village of Chencha, where you will
sure be fascinated by the waving style of the Dorze

DAY 04: Arbaminch
…… Just four kilometers away is Sikela and the
commercial, industrial, and downtown residential
areas. On the eastern side of Sikela lies the gate to Whole day in Arbaminch, including Nech Sar NP’s
Nechisar National Park, which covers the isthmus and Chamo Lake. Arba Minch, the largest town in
between Lake Abaya to the north and Lake Chamo southern Ethiopia, is set amongst lush green hills
to the south. The park has not much to offer near Lakes Abaya and Chamo. Arba Minch is named
except small antelope, a few monkeys and baboon for the abundant local springs that produce a

stone and wood curving techniques of the Konso nationalities are

DAY 06: Jinka – Mursi - Jinka
Drive 275 km south to Jinka visiting the villages of the Konso
people who are renowned for their colorful hand-woven cotton
clothes and beautiful rock terraces. And other tribes Jinka are the
nearest town to Mago National Parks. En-route you will see the
weekly market of Ari, Benna and Tsemai tribes in key Afer village.
The Mago National park broad grasslands are teeming with herds
of Buffalo, Giraffe, Elephants and Kudu. On your way to Mursi you
will see game viewing at the park. The excursion will escort you
to see widespread custom of Mursi women: the insertion of
wooden and terra-cotta discs into the ear lobes, the split and
stretching of their lower lips to make room for similar discs.
Though these 'lip plates' may appear bizarre to outsiders, the
Mursi regard them as signs of beauty. Generally speaking, the
larger the lip plate the more desirable the wearer. o/n in Jinka

an excursion tour to the salt mine lake of El Sod and the singing
wells where the local Borana people extract water for their cattle
making a human ladder. The Oromo, the largest single ethnic
group in Ethiopia consisting of about 22 million people or roughly
one third of the country's total population, are found mainly in
southern and central Ethiopia. In spite of their large numbers they
have never been dominant in Ethiopian society, mainly because of

DAY 11: Awassa - Addis/ADD
Visiting the ‘Fish Market’ at the Shore of Lake Awassa, drive back
to Addis visiting the chains of the Rift Valley Lakes of Langano,
Abiyatta, Shalla, and Ziway. After that you will drive back to
Addis Ababa and along the way visit the lakes of Abiata, Shalla,
Langano and Ziway. If their is any available time you will do some
shopping in Addis Ababa. Finally the evening will culminate with a
farewell dinner in a traditional restaurant with traditional music
and dances which will stay in your memory when you fly back to
