Moldes is a Peruvian rock band from Lima formed in 2010. The band's music is described as authentic, intense, and honest. Their live performances reveal a process of cohesion within the band through noise, travel, and rock and roll. The band released their debut album in 2010 to positive reviews from both local and international media. They have since toured internationally and released a second album in 2014 called "Aguas de Marte".

4. Moldes launched their first release in El Centro Cultural España of Lima. The album was very well accepted
within diverse local media. The newspaper EL COMERCIO nominated the album as one of the top 5 musical
productions of that year.

5. The magazine, edited in ENGLAND, but dedicated to cultural move-
ments in Latin America, did not think twice about placing the work of
these young Peruvian musicians next to other more experienced bands,
like the Chilean artist Javiera Mena and the Colombians Choc Quib
Town, winners of the 2010 Grammy for best latin group.
The english magazine “Sounds and Colors” chose the de-
but album of Moldes as one of the best latinamerican re-
leases of 2010.

6. Moldes first disc has 8 songs which were recorded live by Hermman Hamman and mixed by Juanjo Slazar, under
the production of Katia and Efrén, with the exception of “La Loca invisible de Barranco” which was recorded and
mixed in Afe6 with Saul Peña and “El tunel” with Ricardo Canales. The artwork for the cover was done by graphic
designer an comic author Jorge Pérez Ruibal and the concept for the design was given by Katia and Efrén.

9. A musical comic strip, a sick sarcasm of love. I t is the story of the tipical girl submitted to a man whom she
greatly idealizes. She allows herself to be dominated, but does not recognize it because she likes it . The video carries out
this fantasy of denial inverting the roles, the caricature becomes gore and she takes revenge.

10. During 2012 and 2013 the band dedicated itself to producing its second CD which will be launched in January of
2014, under Tuliplén Records, wich hosts artists like Laguna Pai and Francos Plegau. They´ve also visited coun-
tries like Bolivia (FESTIVAL VIÑETAS CON ALTURA) and Colombia (LA OTRA BIENAL)

11. The second production of Moldes was registered in the studios of APDAYC
(Ex-lempsa) by David Acuña Sanguinetti under Tuliplé records in march of 2012.

12. September 2013 Moldes participated in the largest Rock Festival
LIMA LIVE ROCK 2 organized by the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, ,
which brought together more than 20 000 young people and 18 local bands.

13. Moldes was on tour in Bogotá Colombia from January 14th to January 28.
Moldes got this opportunity due to the fact that in June of last year they won
the Ibermúsicas fund for “Asisting the mobility of solo Iberian-american
artists, ensembles and groups in the region”. This fund has as its objective the
promotion and diffusion of new proposals and tendencies of creation that is
emerging due to independent Latin American bands. They considered the
trayectory of the band, and that is why the first 5 concerts of the year were in
Bogotá Colombia. Moldes applied in June of 2013 to the call of Ibermusicas
funds.
