Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation
tower.
Every 5 years the tower is repainted in a process that
takes about 12 months.
Tokyo Tower's two main revenue sources are antenna
leasing and tourism. It functions as a radio and
television broadcasting antenna support structure and
is a tourist destination that houses several different
attractions. Over 150 million people have visited the
tower in total since its opening.
2. Tokyo Skytree
Tokyo Skytree is a broadcasting, restaurant,
and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo,
Japan. In March 2011, making it the tallest
tower in the world, displacing the Canton Tower,
and the second tallest structure in the world
after Khalifa Tower .
Skytree was completed on 29 February 2012,
with the tower opening to the public on 22
• May 2012.
3. AnimeAnime are Japanese animated productions featuring hand-drawn
or computer animation.
The earliest commercial Japanese animation dates to 1917, and
production of anime works in Japan has since continued to
increase steadily. Anime is distributed theatrically, by television
broadcasts, directly to home media, and over the internet and is
classified into numerous genres targeting diverse broad and niche
audiences.
4. Influence on world culture
Anime has become commercially profitable in Western countries, as
demonstrated by early commercially successful Western adaptations of anime,
such as Astro Boy. Since the 19th century, many Westerners have expressed a
particular interest towards Japan and anime has dramatically exposed more
Westerners to the culture of Japan.
