Elena Isinbaeva is a Russian pole vaulter who began her career at age 5 in sports school in her hometown of Volgograd. She took up pole vaulting at age 16 and within six months won her first gold medal. In 1999 she became the best pole vaulter at the World Youth Championships, winning her second gold. Overall she has won 25 medals including 21 gold in her career. She now lives in Monaco but maintains close ties to her family and hometown of Volgograd.

2. Elena Isinbaeva was born on June, 3 rd 1982 in Volgograd, Russia. She began her career at age
of 5. When her parents brought her to the sport – school. When she was 15 years old she
ultimately left the sport because as she was considered to be tall to be compete in gymnastics.

Moscow, Russia. In 1999, Elena Isinbaeva became the best pole – vaulter at the World Youth Championships
in Bydgszcz, Poland and she took her second gold medal. She always tries to get a gold medal.

5. She has got a nice family! Her father is Haji Gadzhievich Isinbaev and her mother is Natalya Petrovna
Isinbaeva. For a long time Elene lived in Monte Carlo. In March of 2011, Isinbaeva returned to her native
town, Volgograd. She wanted to live with her parents, but in 2013 she moved back to Monaco.
