1. EMP GUN
1) Theory: The electro-magnetic pulse generator, or EMP
generator, is a device capable of generating a transient
electromagnetic disturbance that radiates outward from its
epicenter, disrupting electronic devices (or frying, depending on
its capacity). The idea is that any conductor passing current
creates a magnetic field around it (yes, even a simple wire). Also,
a magnetic field near a conductor induces a current through said
conductor. The EMP (ElectroMagnetic Pulse) device creates a
strong magnetic field in a coil of some sort so the nearby
electronics are induced current from that magnetic field. Since
all ICs are basically transistors, and the transistor is switched by
current, the ICs affected by the EMP stop working, behave
unexpectedly (like resetting, sending signals when they're not
supposed to, etc.). If the EMP is strong enough, it can completely
fry them.
2) Working: The device is pretty simple. EMP devices use high
voltage generator that will convert 3.7 volt into few thousand
volts voltage is further amplified through an passive voltage
multipliers then it passed to a electromagnetic coil with the help
of spark gap. A spark gap is used to dump a large amount of
magic pixies into the coil all at once, which generates a strong
enough magnetic pulse to induce an unexpected voltage inside
of a piece of digital electronics.This coil that will produce high
frequency electromagnetic pulses. it is possible to increase the
range an the output power.with the use of capacitor connected
to a coil will increase the power output of an emp.
The intense magnetic field created by the EMP gun affects the
circuitry of other electronic devices, which basically affects the

2. voltages all over the circuit. So, you will never know what will happen.
Either the device memory will reset or it will permanently damage the
device. So be careful. Keep your electronic devices far away!
3) Principle: This EMP Gun works on the principle of
Electromagnetic induction and Crompton Effect.
 Electromagnetic induction.
In an EMP gun; a high current pulse of electricity is released
through a single or double loop wire antenna, creating an
intense magnetic field that, in turn, excites electrons in any
metal in the range of the magnetic field. This creates a large
voltage surge in the surrounding electronic components, and
effectively fries any sensitive transistors, ICs, etc.
 The Compton Effect.
An intense release of electromagnetic energy causes photons to
knock loose electrons in the atmosphere. The electrons are then
guided by the Earth's magnetic field, essentially becoming a
giant and powerful circuit. The current flowing in this circuit in
the atmosphere generates intense electromagnetic fields that
propagate to the surface of the earth. As these fields cross
conductive materials they release energy into these materials.
Electronic devices are full of conductive material. Given a
sufficient density, the energy absorbed can fry the device.

its high voltage generator.
You will need half a meter of 1 sq mm thick piece of insulated
wire to make a coil. Alternately, if you want more range out of
it, you can use enameled copper wire and coiled around as
many times as you want.

6) Construction:
Initiate by taking apart your bug zapper racket using your
screwdriver. Inside you will find a high voltage generator
circuit. We are going to use this high voltage generator circuit
along with the battery.
Now take 1 sq mm wire. Make a coil as shown in the picture.
In my design, I removed the output capacitor to limit the power
output! But you can keep the capacitor as it is.
Solder one output wire of coil to the high voltage generator and
form a spark gap using other output wire as shown in the
picture above. You may need to fix the wire at a distance.
Keep in mind that this gap decides the frequency output of
your EMP gun; the closer the wires are the higher the
frequency will be and vice-versa, so you may need to tweak

4. the distance. I found that 1 millimeter distance in-between
them worked best for me.
To make a handle for the EMP gun, I used my old toy gun. I
removed the handle and stuck all the parts together with bit of
a hot glue.
I also extended the push button switch so I can use it as a real
EMP gun!
7) Uses:
It is Basically used to damage or destroy the Electronic devices.
The Higher version of EMP gun is known as E-Bomb that is used in a
large scale to ruin a small region by destroying all its Electronic
devices. Such type of E-Bombs are capable of Depriving a country in
technological field.
