Who? All animals have Emotions. i.e. Fear, Anger What? Emotions are responses to chemical and environmental stimuli. i.e. When presented with something you have wanted, you feel light, warm, happy When? Emotions occur when faced with any situation. i.e. Nervous when speaking in front of your peers Fear of a threat of violence Sad when faced with the loss of a loved one Lust when confronted with what society deems ‘sexy’ Where? Emotions can occur anytime anyplace i.e. Right now if someone were to shout a random word like bannapple, I would first experience shock then as my brain processed the phrase I would experience confusion or I would laugh. Why? Emotions occur so that those who experience them can react appropriately to the situation i.e. When faced with a raging rabid dog you don’t sit there and laugh. You experience a rush of adrenaline and fear and you RUN How? When faced with stimuli, the brain sends out chemicals such as dopamine, serotonin, and those chemicals trigger emotions as we feel them.
