Table of Contents You Can’t Write a Poem About… Where I’m From My Pet Winter’s Roads, By: Ron Carnell
You Can’t Write a Poem About… you can't write a poem about the person who will always be at your side                   you can't write a poem about pictures that will always tell your story    you can't write a poem about the sun and how it's a big ball of light, projecting every direction    you can't write a poem about waiting for the storm                                                                             to                                                                                                 pass    you can't write a poem about your friends, or the memories that will be with you forever but you can write a poem about life, and how no one said it would be easy, just that it would be worth it
Where I’m From where I'm from, lemonade fills me up and i realize that we've drunk it all before one customer, my brother and i    where I'm from, recess was the biggest deal, everyone thinking they were too cool    I'm from the late summer night cookouts the feasting upon Reese's and gummy bears   where I'm from, things are laid back, outgoing and not judging   where I'm from I swim, always have been   where I'm from, The Lion King was my pride land                      I'm from the high dunes                                the chlorine water                                       but most of all I'm just me
My Pet hearing her through the night barking sometimes, crying others little round ball of fur                    always lively                                  always active then falls asleep in your arms nothing more than a puppy
