2. Introduction
 Nelson Deedle, a world-renowned autograph expert, has
published numerous pieces about memorabilia collecting
and has traveled extensively to do archival research. Prior
to founding his own celebrity autograph business, Nelson
Deedle worked as an archivist for the Elliott Roosevelt
Estate.
The son of Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt, Elliot
Roosevelt was known for his service in World War II as a
captain in the Army Air Corps. He flew hundreds of
combat missions and commanded the 325th Photographic
Reconnaissance Wing.

3. Elliot Roosevelt Estate
 After he returned from the war, he wrote his first book, As
He Saw It, which recounted his experiences accompanying
his father, the president, to wartime summit conferences.
Mr. Roosevelt wrote more “tell-all” books about the
presidential family, which caused a rift with his siblings.
One of the last books he wrote was called The
Conservators. Rather than the Roosevelts or the
presidency, it concerned his philosophy about the ultimate
survival of mankind. In addition to the books he wrote, Mr.
Roosevelt served as the aviation editor of the Hearst
newspaper chain.
