- My name is Miss Money and I’m here to help you raise (click) lots and lots and lots of fabulous money for your school! Now before we talk about how we’re going to do that, I have some money (hold up $1) that I will be giving away today to a student that I see is being very quiet, they’re not touching their neighbor, they’re paying attention, and they’re on there best behavior. I know you all will get very excited during my presentation and that’s ok. But if it starts to get too loud, I’m going to hold up my money and that means we all have to be VERY quiet. Let’s practice! ( have them make lots of noise and then hold up the money and make sure they understand to be quiet )
- The reason we are raising money is because we need things that school doesn’t give us money for. Some of these things may be (click) new books for the library (click) supplies for the classroom like crayons, paper, (click) pens and pencils. Some of the money may even be used for (click) field trips you’ll take at the end of the school year.
- Now we all know that money doesn’t grow on trees. We will need to go out and ask lots of people to help us raise money.
- But there are some people out there that we NEVER talk to. Who do you think they are? (click) Yes, strangers can be some very scary, creepy people (click). Some strangers can even be very nice-looking but they are still strangers and we NEVER sell to (click) strangers.
- There are lots of other great people that we can ask to help us. First, we have our (click) parents. You may even have (click) some neighbors that you know. Remember, if you don’t know your neighbors, they are strangers and we don’t sell to strangers. Many of you have relatives you can ask for help. Aunts, uncles, (click) grandma, grandpa. They are great people to sell to. And then you have (click) your place of worship. Ask those nice people at church to help you as well. And for all of your hard work with helping your school raise money, I’m going to reward you with some (click)…….

- I hold up the dollar and recap the rules for winning the dollar. I pick a student that has been really great but it’s easier to ask the principal (or whomever is introducing you) to point out a good student before you start the presentation. Also, use this time to address teachers with any instructions you may have for them. The students will cooperate because you’re holding up that dollar and they’re supposed to be on their best behavior. (click) Close with your usual speech.
