Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Are partners in the development and delivery of the Scot Gov campaign – PrepareforBrexit.scot
SDS is continuing to champion the critical role of Scottish businesses in building the capabilities of the workforce today and into the future.
With the strong backing of Scottish Government, we have supported industry to rapidly expand the number of Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeship opportunities.
Foundation Apprenticeships in 2018
Over 3,000 starts between 2016 and 2018
12 industry designed frameworks in growth sectors
32 local authorities
c80% schools engaged
c.5,000 FA opportunities across Scotland in 2019
SCQF Levels 4 and 5 Pilots launched
In addition to the Foundation Apprenticeship, SDS has been working with industry, education and SQA to develop new work-based learning qualifications at other SCQF levels. We are currently in the early stages of piloting workbased learning qualifications at SCQF levels 4 and 5 with a small number of schools and colleges. Following additional development work, our ambition is that these qualifications will be widely available and will contribute to a seamless pathway through our apprenticeship programmes from as early as S3.
Modern Apprenticeships in 2018
The established Modern Apprenticeship model continues to grow and expand.
The number of MA starts has continued to rise, and we are on track to achieve the 28,000 apprenticeship target for 2018/19 and 30,000 target for 2020/21. Engineering MAs in particular have seen a significant increase in 2018 – rising by 29% in response to employer and sector demand
We now have 12,000 established MA employers
80+ frameworks and growing – with new MA frameworks being developed for 2019 to meet employer demand, including:
Boatbuilding and Repair
Scientific, Technical and Formulation Processing
Distilling
Optical Retail
Gas Emergency Response
Aviation
FA to MA progression pathways established and growing – added reference within commissioning documents for Modern Apprenticeships 2019/20, encouraging Providers and Employers to be more aware of FAs and potential for young people to progress onto an MA
Graduate Apprenticeships in 2018
2018 is the second year of the GA programme, and has seen a significant advancement in the year one results from 2017.
2018 highlights include:
The total number of GA frameworks increasing from 4 to 12. Each framework has been designed by industry, for industry. A key example of this is the recent establishment of a GA in Data Science. The first course of its kind in Scotland, this framework has been designed in direct response to employer demand and will be delivered by The University of Edinburgh and The University of St Andrews alongside global accounting and business services firm PwC
13 Universities & 1 College now established as providers – an increase from a total of 9 providers in year 1 and demonstrating the increasing momentum and positive support of the GA programme across higher education providers.
918 starts in 2018 – an increase from 278 starts in year one, and highlighting the increasing uptake among individuals as they respond to these industry-led opportunities and choose to invest in their futures
Looking ahead, we aim for more employers, universities and colleges to get involved across all Graduate Apprenticeship frameworks as part of an expanded programme for 2019.
