EXPERIENCE: We have been working in the area of Technical Teaching Equipment for more than 35 years. We
have designed and manufactured Teaching Units for more than 25 years.
TECHNICAL STAFF: We have a high level technical team of more than 50 engineers , most of them are
continuously developing new teaching equipment. Our staff is able to design and specify complete turn-key projects
for complete Training Centres for Higher Education, for Technical and Vocational Education, even for Secondary
Schools.
We offer training, “teachers training”, even technology transfer, by using our own engineers involved in designing,
manufacturing and doing quality control.
RESEARCH DEPARTMENT: We have more than 10 engineers carrying out research, so that EDIBON can:
Design the manuals. They are entirely written by our engineers.
Design the electronic interfaces. We have designed more than 2000 different types of units.
Design the software. We have developed more than 1800 different software packages for different units.
Design the units themselves.
LEVEL OF OUR TECHNOLOGY: EDIBON offers the Highest Technology in the world in the field of the
Technical Teaching Equipment. Many of our Teaching Techniques and Units are unique and they are EDIBON
registered trademarks.

PRODUCTS: We produce about 3000 different “Technical Teaching Units” in most of technical areas, such as
Electronics, Electricity, Mechanics, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, etc. (Additional information can be
obtained visiting our WEB Site: www.edibon.com). All products are 100% our own design, 100% our own
manufacturing, and 100% our own quality control.
FACTORIES: We manufacture in our own factories in Leganés – Madrid (Spain).
MANUFACTURING: We produce our equipment, including many mechanical pieces which are made on our lathes
and milling machines. What is not available in the market, we make. The standard components (mother boards,
aluminium profiles, metallic tanks ...etc) are subcontracted.
TECHNOLOGY STRUCTURE: EDIBON has a strong structure which allows us to manufacture
not only small teaching units, but also big and sophisticated equipment, for example:
Power Plant Simulator. (More than 1M EUR sales price). Refinery and Process Control System, controlled from a
local net with 30 computers for the students. Several ESN (EDIBON Scada – Net) supplied to Pakistan, India,
Nigeria. Many others will be supplied soon.
CUSTOMERS: About 98% of our production is exported to Higher Education Institutions,
Technical and Vocational Schools all over the world. We have supplied equipment to more than 100 countries (either
industrialised or less developed ones).
PRICES: We have very competitive prices in a wide range of products.
TURNOVER: Our turnover is increasing drastically every year.

All plates are CUT BY “LASER”
All the stainless steel plates, as rod materials are cut by LASER, so the drawing has to be very
precise and the components have to have the proper drawing, allowing quick and proper allocation
in the plates or the allocated device.
The LASER CUT SYSTEM has a very good looking and avoids injury to the students´ hands.

groups, named “CJ”. Maximum 99.
Any group is divided into several subgroups, named
“SB”. Maximum 99.
Any subgroup is divided in components or single pieces,
named “P”. Maximum 99.
So, any component in any EDIBON unit has a code and it is
totally identified during the “complete life of any EDIBON
unit”.

Any EDIBON unit has its own “serial number” and associated with the
serial number is the issue related with the unit. We keep all issues forever.
Example: UCP 001468/Issue 7. This is a UCP unit with series Nº 001468 and
manufactured under Issue Nº 7.

By knowing a damaged component in any unit, we can identify it by
these six numbers, the component and proper drawing, so we can
recommend the replacement.

KEEP A COPY IN A CD OF ALL THE
RESULTS, for future use for a record in

 To be on top technologically, means more mistakes and

ALL EDIBON COMPUTER CONTROLLED UNITS USE “C”, AS THE LAST LETTER IN THE
REFERENCE.
Example:
 TAAC: Air Conditioning Unit.
 PBOC: Pumps Test Set.
 UDCC: Distillation Column.
The last “C” means “Computer Controlled”.
What mean the other letters?
“T” at the beginning, in many cases related with the area. In case of “T” it is for “Thermodynamics”.
The other letters in the middle use to be in many cases, the first letters of the unit name but some
items in Spanish and in most cases in English.

In case of big amounts, EDIBON accommodates the total
amount in three or more steps, depending on the financing
possibilities and the strategy to follow in the Spanish
Ministry in order to get success.

EDIBON ask officially for the financing, only when we receive:
 Contract. This contract will include the following conditions, indicated in the
article 2.1.1 where we are saying: “This Contract will be valid only if The
Spanish Financial Facility, or any other financial facility for its financing
acceptable to the CUSTOMER, has been obtained and it is fully available”.
So if there are not good financing conditions, always your customer is free
to decide or change his mind.
 The Priority Letter from the Ministry of Financing.
With these two documents and the project itself, EDIBON asks for the
financing, officially.

The procedure really starts when the customer receives our proposal, so in order to do
that we can offer:
 EDIBON designs a tentative project, normally free of charge.
 The Representative receives the EDIBON design and some complements and he
designs a presentation for the customer.
 The customer receives the tentative project.
 The customer makes modifications and sends them back to the Representative.
(VERY IMPORTANT: It is strongly recommended the final technical project to be
based on the EDIBON proposal).
 The Representative sends the new project to EDIBON.
 EDIBON checks it in order to be sure that the project can be approved by Spanish
Government
 EDIBON, through the Representative, sends the project back to the customer,
including all the modifications agreed.

 The project has to be approved by the end customer (University, Ministry of
Education or any other institution). All the end customers usually approve their
project in their own Planning Department.
 Once the project has been internally approved, the end customer institution submits
it, through its appropriate department, to the National Planning.
 Such National Planning can:
 Refuse the project with objections, so we have to start again.
 Approve the project. In this case the project will have National Priority.
 With National Priority, the project moves to Ministry of Financing (MOF). The MOF
has to find the financing. We can offer our financing to MOF.

There are two options.
a) No tender is required.
In this case EDIBON sends the draft contract to the end customer and, after some small
modifications, the end customer and EDIBON sign the contract.
b) A Tender is required.
In this case the project has to be tendered, but the design done by EDIBON includes our
specifications. It guarantees our success in the tender. With EDIBON specifications in
the tender, we have 99,99% success possibilities.

Clarification of main points.
1. This contract has no real commercial value, as we say in
«Preamble»
«In case of any validity and effectiveness of this Contract is
subject to the full effectiveness and availability of the Spanish
Financial Facility (the LOAN) described in Article 1 or, alternatively,
and kind of financial facility found acceptable by the University,
which will not have otherwise any responsibility hereunder»

2. Down payment.
2.1 See article 5.
2.2 The down payment is arranged only when your country
financial part and Spanish counterpart agreed the final conditions.

the commercial contract can be cancelled by the customer.
2.3 The down payment can be negotiated aswell. Sometimes this
down payment does not need to be cash.

3. Installations and Training.
3.1 Installations. In TKP, we make the Installations at customer
laboratories, by one or several EDIBON highly qualified engineers.
About 50 EDIBON engineers are available for this purpose, so we
choose the proper ones at any time.
3.2 Training. In TKP we do the training, first at EDIBON premises
and at customer laboratories, by one or several EDIBON
engineers. About 50 EDIBON engineers are available for this
purpose, so we choose the proper ones at any time. TRAINING IN

4. Real Payment.
4.1 When EDIBON and customer sign the commercial contract,
NOT ANY PAYMENT IS REQUIRED.
4.2 To sign the contract does not mean any obligation from
customer side. The commercial contract is required «ONLY» for
EDIBON, when we ask for credit to our government and/or our
banks.

6. Credit approval.
An Interministerial Committee decides:
a) To give or not to give the credit.
b) The financial conditions.
This committee studies the financial operation when «EDIBON
asks for that officially» with the Commercial Contract and Priority
Letter.

7. When the Interministerial Committee approves the
conditions, it informs your country authorities. In this
moment:
7.1 The general financial conditions in the Commercial Contract
have no validity, and the valid ones are the ones indicated in point
6 a).
7.2 The financial authorities accept or not the credit. So there is no
obligation from EDIBON customer.
7.3 In case your country financial authorities accept the credit, they
negotiate the details and conditions with ICO (Spanish
counterpart).

8. The EDIBON customer (University, Ministry of Education, etc)
does not need to pay any amount and does not have any financial
obligation.
EDIBON customer gets the EDIBON Teaching Equipment,
free of charge

EDIBON gets the money from Spanish Authority, ICO. Your

 Amount: From € 0,5 million to € 20 million.
 Interest rate: usually between 2% and 4% per year.
 Repayment period: 8 to 10 years.
The final conditions of interest rate and duration of the repayment
period are related with the amount and the technical level of the
project, as well as with the commercial and political situation of the
buyer´s country.
These kind of loans are ideal for private institutions, but in theory
they can also be used for public institutions.

Spanish soft loans are available for countries with less that 3.900 $
rent per capita. Their approximate conditions are as follows:
 Interest rate: lower than 1% per annum.
 Repayment period: Up to 30 years.
 Grace period: Up to 10 years.
 Guaranties: Sovereign Guarantee.
They can be used basically only for public institutions, since the
Sovereign Guarantee is required and usually it is not given for
private transactions.

not available due to the country situation, EDIBON is
ready to study the possibilities of getting loans for
public institutions with some kind of credit facility
included. This option has to be analysed “case by

even in some least developed countries (LDC),
sometimes it is possible to get official donations but it
has to be analysed case by case. In both options,

local government to write off all or part of its public debt
with Spain. To get such debt relief the debtor country
has to create a Fund with the equivalent in local
