Date Work done
12/04 Imported files
Today we selected which clips were appropriate; due to the files being large this
took a considerable amount of time.
13/04 Cut files
We then cut the files into smaller clips to allow space for further editing to be
made to the clips and for a faster pace to be conveyed through shorter clips and
changes in speed/duration.
15/04 Sync audio to video
16/04 Edit section one
“The journey” – The video begins with a bagel and coffee being made, this sets the
tone to a relaxed, youthful atmosphere. In addition showing the sky and busy
roads indicate the type of town which the video is set.
18/04 Edit section two
“The shops” – Next we see the introduction of the two girls as they make their way
through town to the shopping centre. The focus on the two girls with the rest of
the community continuing in every day life indicates how everyone has their own
story if you just take the time to watch. Also focusing on more childlike products
suggest innocence to the girls, this is also suggested through a lower shot.
2. 19/04 Edit section three
“The departure” – Finally we see the characters leaving the town centre however
the video finishes with the two girls on a bus to convey that the journey has not yet
finished.
20/04 Effects
We then edited the colours and levels in order to make a more summer like tint to
the clips which were filmed.
21/04 Balance sound
22/04 Export
Then we exported the video as H264/MP4/1080p 25FPS
