The document presents an experimental study on the combustion and vibration characteristics of an indirect injection diesel engine fueled with preheated jatropha methyl ester (JME). The research aims to explore renewable alternative fuels to reduce emissions and enhance engine performance without altering engine design, with experiments conducted at various preheating temperatures. Results indicate that preheating JME to 60°C improves combustion efficiency and reduces vibrations, leading to better engine reliability compared to standard diesel and unheated JME.
