                                               world (and even

an Easter egg hunt. A twist to this
would be to have a golden egg which when found entitles the finder to a special
prize.

Another popular hands-on activity restaurants, hotels and country organize
includes having kids paint their own design to bring home. Optional contests are
held to award the child who painted the most beautiful design. Larger turkey,
rhea and ostrich eggs are sometimes used for painting Easter designs but these
aren’t usually done for kiddie activities due to the high cost and limited
availability.

When planning your own Easter activity, hard boil the eggs until they’re done. Do
not overcook as the eggs can be eaten after. It would be a shame to let this
healthy food go to waste! An alternative to using fresh eggs would be plastic egg-
shaped capsules with a toy inside or a hollow chocolate egg also with a small gift
inside.

                                                         been recorded as to the
origins of these traditions, most linking them to the feast of Corpus Christi. Easter
eggs also symbolize the empty tomb of the risen Jesus. Eggs which a bird hatches
from also signifies life appropriate for the Easter Sunday holiday festivities after
somewhat solemn and somber Holy Week observances from Maundy Thursday to
Black Saturday.
