This document summarizes an EAST stablecoin protocol that allows users to deposit cryptocurrency assets into vaults as collateral to mint the stablecoin EAST. EAST can then be used to access fiat value or traded back later when the market rises to regain the original crypto assets plus profit. The protocol aims to preserve asset value while offering leverage trading, staking rewards, and governance through the ORIENT token.

3. EAST is a flexible stablecoin governed by a DAO. We are collaborating with
many enterprise clients through West Enterprise network. So besides
cryptocurrencies, EAST is primed to use RWA (Real World Assets) as
collateral, such as traditional bonds and loans.
Another project that does this is the DAI stablecoin, governed by
MakerDAO. Its trustee is Wilmington Savings Fund Society, a US bank with
$20 billion in assets and $2 billion market cap.

6. Trading with leverage
Use this strategy if you are sure about asset X price dynamic.
Steps to start trading with the protocol:
1. Choose your asset X and deposit it to issue EAST
2. Use EAST to buy even more of asset X
3. Use asset X as the protocol collateral to issue more EAST
When the asset price goes up you buy back EAST and repay
your debt. You will have surplus funds because your assets
have pumped. Thus, thanks to the protocol, you will have
more of asset X than you had before.
Instead of selling the asset X, put it into the collateral. You can
issue new EAST tokens as value of collateral increases.

7. Up to 50% of assets is collateral can be liquidated, if a
vault’s collateral ratio goes below critical level.
A vault’s debt is always smaller than the value of assets in
collateral. This encourages users to watch their position and
repay their debt in due time.
As a result, EAST protocol keeps itself safe from bad debt,
and from whale manipulations and exploits.

8. EAST Market making
When the price of EAST rises above one
dollar, users issue EAST for USDT at 1:1
ratio and 0 fees.
This lets you arbitrage EAST for profit, and
return its price down to 1$ peg.

9. EAST staking is PoS-based and reliable.
Users can earn on EAST staking. As per
protocol mechanics, EAST uses native and
other types of DeFi staking. When accepted
assets are deposited as collateral, they are
sent to a managing node to be staked and
earn profit. The profits are then distributed
among EAST users.

10. ORIENT is the governance token of EAST.
30% of all protocol revenue goes to users
who stake their ORIENT.
Users can mine ORIENT by having active
debt positions in the protocol.
Another way to get ORIENT is to participate
in the upcoming seeding rounds.

11. EAST is currently launched on Waves and West blockchains, and can easily be
scaled to Ethereum and other networks.
EAST is not only bridged, but can be minted and burned on every separate
network.
As the protocol matures, we are adding more available assets to be accepted
as collateral.
