While Earth is only the fifth largest planet in the solar system, it is the only world in our solar system with liquid water on the surface. Just slightly larger than nearby Venus, Earth is the biggest of the four planets closest to the Sun, all of which are made of rock and metal

2. EARTH IN SOLAR SYSTEM
• SHAPE OF EARTH
• SIZE OF EARTH
• DENSITY OF EARTH
• MASS OF EARHT
• ROTATION OF EARTH
• REVOLUTION OF EARTH
3. EARTH
Earth the planet on which we live was formed about 4.5 billions
ago.
It is fifth largest in Solar system and largest in inner planets of the
solar system.
It has 3rd position from the sun and 6th position from outer planets.
It is known as unique planet because it is the only planet in the
universe which is known to life .
It surface has water , land is surrounded by a blanket of air known
as atmosphere . They things help in the possibility of life.
When Astronaut first saw the earth from the space , it looked blue
in color because of the pressure of water all over the surface so ,
Astronaut named the earth blue planet or watery planet.
4. SHAPE OF THE EARTH
Earth is not perfect circle it is an oblate spheroid
, it is a sphere but the distance from pole to pole
is less than the distance around the equator . This
gives it a slightly flattened shape.
Earth is circumference and diameter differ
because its shape is classified as an oblate
spheroid or ellipsoid , instead of a true sphere.
The equatorial bulge at the earth equator is
measured at 26.5 milles and is caused by the
planet rotation and gravity.
5. SIZE OF THE EARTH
Size of the earth , like the size of all the the celestial
bodies, is measured in number of parametres including
mass , volume , density , surface area , mean diameter ,
and circumference.
Earth orbits with perihelion of 147,098,290km , and
aphelion of 152,098,232km , making for a semi-major axis
of 149,598,261km.
6. ROTATION OF EARTH
Earth has an imaginary line one which it rotates known as axis.
When the earth rotates on its axis , it is called rotation.
Rotation causes days and nights on earth.
Earth takes 24 hours to complete one rotation.
Earth takes rotation from west to east.
Earth has the speed of 30km of rotation on equator while on poles it
has 0 km
Earth complete one rotation in 23 hours , 56 minute , and 4.1 second
7. REVOLUTION OF EARTH
Earth has an imaginary line on which it goes around
the sun known as orbit.
Earth orbit is oral which brings the earth near the
sun and far from the sun.
It is called revolution.
Revolution causes change in the season on the
earth.
Earth takes 365 days , 5 hours , 48 minute and 56
second to complete one revolution.
Revolution also runs from west to east.
8. EARTH’S MASS AND DENSITY
Earth's density is 5.513 grams per cubic centimeter. Earth is
the densest planet in the solar system because of its metallic
core and rocky mantle. Jupiter, which is 318 more massive
than Earth, is less dense because it is made of gases, such
as hydrogen.
Earth's mass is 6.6 sextillion tons (5.9722 x 1024 kilograms). It
volume is about 260 billion cubic miles (1 trillion cubic
kilometers.
Thank you.
