This document presents a design for an ultrahigh birefringent photonic crystal fiber (PCF) with ultralow confinement loss, utilizing elliptical air holes in the fiber core and circular air holes in the fiber cladding. The proposed design achieves birefringence greater than 0.01 and confinement loss less than 0.001 dB/km across a wide wavelength range, addressing the typical tradeoff seen in earlier designs. Additionally, the document suggests strategies for modifying the effective index of the fiber core to further optimize dispersion characteristics.
