Oath (a Verizon company) built a multi-region GDPR compliant application using Amazon DynamoDB global tables to provide privacy controls across its services. DynamoDB global tables allowed the application to scale elastically while providing low latency access to privacy data distributed worldwide. The architecture included DynamoDB tables in multiple regions with global tables for multi-master replication. This met Oath's requirements for availability, performance and timely compliance with GDPR regulations.
