The hill side is completely destroyed for our
garbage.
The hill must be lined with gravel and sand
and dirt and multiple layers of plastic
because..
Our garbage becomes a toxic waste.
The stuff we throw away is laced with artificial
chemicals and toxic metals that, if leached into our
ground water, can become a serious cause of health
issues for all life.
THIS AMOUNTS TO
OF GARBAGE FROM OUR CAMPUS
ALONE
The award-winning Boeing Signature Interior is available on both the 747-400 and 747-
400ER. At 31,285 cubic feet (876 cubic meters), the 747-400 has the largest
passenger interior volume of any commercial airliner, which is equivalent to more than
three houses each measuring 1,500 square feet (135 square meters).
These matching organizers I gave to my dad
to help him sort his mail.
I love this body pillow, I washed it and its
been on my bed ever since.
I found this in the A-town dumpster; the only
problem with it was that it was inside out. I
use it every time I go camping now.
I found canned food which wasn’t expired or
even dented, and I took them home and ate
them.
This garbage can and comforter and coat were all thrown
out together. My cousin loves zebra stuff so we gave it all
to her.
I think we ended up with 5 carpets, more carpets than
we even needed but I couldn’t just let them go out to
the landfill so my dad got one for his foyer and bathroom
and my mom got three for her house.
This was a bunch of stuff we recovered from the dumpsters.
Shoes, purses, linen sets. Even the ones that we pay out the
wazoo for because the dorm beds are a special size were being
thrown out. There was even a mattress pad that helps me sleep
on these hard school mattresses.
The same picture without the spider man
blanket, which I gave to my nephew.
Another perfectly good
carpet.
The boots and shoes that were tossed out. Really
people? People who don’t have shoes are so
miserable and these ones were barely worn.
Now this under armor shirt still had a tag on it that said it was
worth $50 bucks. I cannot even fathom what happened here.
Maybe someone was pulling a prank or something but this was a
real treat to find in the dumpsters.
This was an under armor bag that was in
perfect condition.
This was another bag that I pulled out of the dumpster
and used to carry all the other stuff I found. BTW this
bag was of better quality than the swag bags that the
freshmen get every year.
Another carpet and a stuffed animal that was in the
backpack I pulled out. That back pack was filled with
cleaned and folded laundry. Really? Yes.
This is another stack of linens that I pulled out of the
dumpsters, on top of a crate that was also thrown out. It
made a very handy carrying case for all the sheets and
blankets, in fact I couldn’t even fit all the sheets and
blankets and throws and pillow cases in this big crate
because there was so much.
Another blanket and the crate
of carrying good linens.
An electric water kettle that I use in
my kitchen.
The crate and another blanket. This blanket has
made it to my new apartment that I will be
moving into when I graduate, not the landfill.
More perfectly good sheets and blankets.
I found BAGS of winter gear in the garbage cans
outside Casset. And the bag that they threw it all
away in? It was a reusable cloth bag! How many
people have to deal with not having hats and
gloves or scarves when it gets cold here.
This was most of that stuff before I unpacked it all. Let me
emphasize that this wasn’t even half of the stuff we rescued. The
other half went home in my moms car. And this was only from one
year, and we only went to donnel/casset and A-town once.
