3. Tanzania, one of Earth's last great
guardians of nature, a land of extremes
bejewelled with the most evocative
names in Africa; the vast Serengeti,
stunning stage of the great migration;
magical Ngorongoro Crater, a
true wonder of the world; snow-
capped Kilimanjaro; the exotic island
of Zanzibar fringed with white powder
beaches and lapped by the Indian
Ocean and so many other lesser known
jewels.
Combine these vast landscapes and breath-taking scenery
with one fourth of all Africa's large game animals and the
largest populations of elephant, lion, hippo, cheetah, buffalo
and giraffe left on Earth and it is obvious that Tanzania offers
a safari experience second to none.
The National Parks of Tanzania cover a massive area of over
sixteen thousand square miles where the weird and
wonderful myriad of African wildlife roam free and the eye is
overwhelmed with enormous vistas into forever..

4. Day One Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport
Transfer to Arusha Coffee Lodge
Lying on the gentling rolling foothills that cascade down from the ever-present Mount Meru is
the bustling and vibrant town of Arusha. It is here on the outskirts of this town, hidden
amongst one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations, that you will find Arusha Coffee Lodge, a
perfect haven for relaxation either before or after any African safari

7. Day 2 Depart after breakfast - drive to Tarangire National Park
Your experienced safari driver-guide will collect you after breakfast for the 2/3 hour drive through
Massai Land to Tarangire National Park in your personal 4x4 off road safari vehicle.

9. A distinctive landscape of ancient baobab trees gives Tarangire a certain fairy-tale feel.
During the dry season the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the area and so
the park teems with wildlife. At this time it is the elephant that dominate and it is
possible to see large herds at close range. Tarangire is a uniquely wonderful landscape
of Baobab, Acacia and Whistling Thorn groves. A good place to spot leopard and lion as
well as many of the smaller mammals and many birds.

10. Day 2 & 3 Tarangire Safari Lodge
Perched at the edge of a natural bluff, Tarangire Safari Lodge is renowned for its panoramic
views of the savannah and Tarangire River below, providing breathtaking scenery and game
viewing right from its sweeping terrace and your doorstep. Elephant are regular visitors in
camp along with other wildlife!

11. The quintessential safari tents, with thatched roofs and large, mesh-screened windows,
provide the perfect opportunity to connect with the sights and sounds of nature. Each
tent has a comfortable verandah, ideal for bird and game viewing or reading your favorite
book after a dusty safari. All tents are equipped with en-suite bathrooms with solar-
heated showers, ample cupboard space for your gear, and a cultural touch of local textiles

The 2 days spent in Tarangire incorporate daily game drives, picnics in the bush, relaxing
afternoons, sundowners, dips in the pool, maybe a massage and delicious food.

14. Day 4 Depart Tarangire after breakfast - Drive to Lake Manyara for game drive and picnic

15. Stretching for 50km along the base of the
rusty-gold 600-metre high Rift Valley
escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem..
From the entrance gate, the road winds
through an expanse of lush jungle-like
groundwater forest where hundred-strong
baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the
roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly
between the ancient mahogany trees.
Contrasting with the intimacy of the forest is
the grassy floodplain and its expansive views
eastward, across the lake, to the jagged blue
volcanic peaks that rise from the endless
Maasai Steppes. Large buffalo, wildebeest
and zebra herds congregate on these grassy
plains.
Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of
acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of
Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and
impressively tusked elephants.

16. Picnic lunch in Manyara then continue to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ideally located on the edge of the Ngorongoro crater rim, Rhino Lodge offers a perfect base from which
to explore the Ngorongoro crater and its surroundings. With 24 comfortable ensuite rooms, a cozy
living space, friendly local staff and generous African-inspired meals, Rhino Lodge welcomes guests to
Africa's most remarkable game park.

17. There are 24 guest rooms, all with
verandah overlooking a stretch of high
montane forest. Each room has its own
shower, toilet and hand basin.
The altitude of the rim makes the evenings
chilly so keep away the cold each room has
a wood-burning stove, and hot water
bottles can be filled if you want one.

18. Day 5 Day spent in Ngorongoro Crater Overnight Rhino Lodge

The Crater is a stunning 20 km wide bowl teeming with wildlife, unparalleled in
its stunning scenery.
The first sight into the crater as one reaches the rim and the trees open up to
reveal this jewel of nature is an experience to be treasured.
Lodges and camps are located around the crater rim and game drives into the
Crater start with an early morning descent to catch sight of the Rhino moving
out of the Lerai Forest and onto the plain.
The Crater floor is also home to lion, elephant, hyena as well as a myriad of
antelope, zebra, jackal to name but a few.

21. Day 6 Depart after breakfast – Drive to The Serengeti

22. The Serengeti Land of the Infinite Horizon
The famed Serengeti is a vast expanse of grassland interspersed with rock ‘kopjes’. The
horizon stretches into infinity in all directions and the night skies are simply breath-
taking. Massive herd of elephant graze peacefully, lion hunt and the endless cycle of
the greatest migration on Earth moves millions of wildebeest and zebra. Every day
brings new wonders and discoveries in The Serengeti.

23. Day 6, 7, 8, 9 Kati-Kati Camp Serengeti

24. Kati-Kati is a mobile tented camp located in Central Serengeti, strategically located to
cover the vast Serengeti Plains. The camp offers comfortable accommodation and a
unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience.
Camp consists of 10 very comfortable guest tents with en-suite facilities. A cosy mess
tent is located in the centre of the camp where meals are served. The campfire is
ready every evening for appetizers and snacks before dinner and a perfect spot for
star-gazing afterwards.
