Duke arrives at college nervously and meets Dan and Katie outside. Dan shows Duke around and introduces him to Katie, who Duke is immediately attracted to. Duke has his first chemistry lesson with Dan and Katie. In a voiceover, Duke reflects that while he expected college to be ordinary, nothing is ever expected in his life. He reveals he was born with a strange gift of being able to see things nobody else can see.

FADE IN:
EXT. OUTSIDE THE COLLEGE
Duke approaches the college, walking by himself. Headphones
in ears, with his hood up. He appears to look nervous, he
has his hands in his pockets and he is mostly looking at the
ground. Students are shown outside the front of the college,
levitating, and lighting cigarettes from their fingertips.
Duke approaches one of the students.
DAN
You alright man, you new?
DUKE
Erm, yeah Im Duke, just started
here.
Dan goes to shake Dukes hand.
DAN
Dan, nice to meet you.
DUKE
This is a erm.. pretty big place
DAN
Yeah, I mean its easy to get lost
and all but, its easy once you get
the hang of it.
Duke notices a girl stood next to Dan, and Dan sees this.
DAN
This is Katie.
Duke becomes even more nervous at the sight of Katie. To
Duke, she is incredibly hot and the sight of her astounds
him.
DUKE
...Hi
KATIE
Hi Duke
Their eyes lock until Dan starts talking to Katie
DAN
Katie, weve got our lesson
now..we're going to be late.

INT. IN THE RECEPTION
During Dukes voiceover, we see him enter the reception of
the college, he talks to the receptionist and she hands him
his timetable. He goes to his first lesson, which just
happens to be the same chemistry lesson as Dan and Katie, he
sits down next to Katie,
DUKE (VOICEOVER)
I never expected anything special
or out of the ordinary to happen on
my first day at college, I expected
boring teachers, annoying hipster
guys and stereotypical girls who
judge you as soon as look at you;
but nothing, especially in my life
is ever expected. I never figured
that I would just happen to bump
into my new friends as soon as I
got there,
INT. IN THE CLASSROOM
I never figured that my first
lesson would be with them either.
But much like everyone else at this
college, there was one thing I did
expect. No one would ever have as
much power as I possess.
I was born with a strange gift, the
ability to see what nobody has ever
seen...
