1. Dueitt Middle School Our First Introduction Meeting Our first meeting was held on December 2 nd , here we were introduced to the students in Ms. Carvell’s class. It was exciting and fun to see the Meet in the Middle videos and learn about Special Olympics. We were asked to take home the permission slips and bring back before the Holidays. Our first official meeting will be on January of 2010

2. January 12 th meeting Today we started the Loretta Claiborne movie, which was an awesome movie!!! We learned about slideshare to post our meeting information, essays, reports, etc. on this new program.

3. January 19 th meeting Awesome job getting your permission slips and rosters in, we had such an outstanding response for our typically developing students – 38 new sign ups and 7 of Miss Carvell’s students. At this meeting we were fans in the stands for the Middle School Basketball team…..one of our Meet in the Middle Buddies, Cameron, made the team and scored 8 points during the game! We were all there cheering him on!

4. More to come… We have so many more activities planned for this year.. can’t wait to post more.
