Christian Cisneros was a member of the 7th grade boys basketball team at Dueitt Middle School and averaged 6 points per game. The opposing coaches would work with Christian to ensure he scored several buckets each game to the delight of the crowd. Tourous Cloud, an 8th grader at Dueitt, joined the track team after previously competing in Special Olympics, where he won a gold medal in pentathlon at a recent meet. His track coach plans to have him compete in high jump as well.

1. Dueitt Middle School Meet in the Middle in Sports
Christian Cisneros was a member of the Dueitt Middle School 7th grade boys basketball
team. The coaches and players enjoyed having him on the team. He worked hard and had a
fantastic attitude. Christian averaged 6 points a game. Coach Cullinan talked to the opposing
coaches and Christian would start the game, drive to the basket and score 2 points. The crowd
would go crazy when he scored. He would then start the second half and drive coast to coast
and score again. Then the last few minutes of the game he would go back in and drive to the
basket and score. The opposing teams in Spring ISD would get the rebound and pass the ball
back to him and make sure he scored

2. Tourous Cloud is an 8th grader at Dueitt Middle School. He has participated in Special Olympics
for three years. Last year the Dueitt track coaches noticed Tourous as he practiced and
competed in Special Olympics. They asked him to come out for the track team this year.
Tourous is now on the track team and doing very well. He is competing in the 1,500 and is the
anchor on the mile relay. Tourous has placed in each track meet. This past weekend Tourous
won the gold medal in the pentathlon in The Woodlands Special Olympic event at Oak Ridge High
School. His track coach attended the meet and watched him compete and is now going to have
Tourous compete in the high jump.
